Description

The first supplement of its kind to be certified sustainable* by the Marine Stewardship Council, our wild Antarctic krill oil is a natural source of astaxanthin and phospholipid-form omega-3s, including EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid). Astaxanthin is an antioxidant belonging to the carotenoid family, which gives a reddish color to various marine organisms, including salmon, krill, shrimp, lobster, and some algae. Antioxidants are known to neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress. Derived from small shrimp-like crustaceans (Euphausia superba), our krill oil is molecularly distilled for optimal purity and encapsulated in fish-based gelatin softgels without any added dairy, starch, wheat, yeast, sugar, artificial preservatives, artificial colors, binders, or stearates. One serving provides 200mcg of astaxanthin and 440mg of total omega-3s, including 240mg of EPA and 110mg of DHA.
